I have always been infatuated by the male form, shocking I know, and I love to portray these figures in moments of intimacy be it with themselves or with a partner. I find these moments of vulnerability to be absolutely beautiful and I love to play with the levels of eroticism and emotional connection during these scenes. I do this through the use of angles and layers that hide and show different aspects of these sexual acts. I explore different types of relationships such as monogamous relationships, but I also explore ephemeral relations through the exploration of hookup culture and digital identity of pornography/thirst traps. These encounters, while sometimes fleeting, carry a weight of significance, revealing much about how individuals seek love, affirmation, and community in a world that often marginalizes them. I aim to represent these relationships without any judgment, but with empathy and curiosity.
At the core of my work I seek to challenge stereotypes and assumptions about queer intimacy and masculinity, with an aim to provoke thought and dialog around how our community is viewed both inside and out. Through my exploration I hope to foster a deeper understanding of the queer experience and all of its nuance, its beauty, its loneliness, its sensuality, and its resilience.
